All Kirby Abilities

Yes, I'm insane. PS, get ready for a super-long post... I don't think many people are going to be insane enough to read it all =.=

ANIMAL - You love dirt! Dig! Sweet dirt! DIG! DIG! DIG! DIG! Can't dig everywhere...
Animal Kirby appears in Kirby: Squeak Squad by swallowing a Gaw Gaw or a mini-boss Gao Gao. Animal is powerful, and is essential for gathering treasures as well as destroying enemies, but you lose speed. It can also dig through snow, and is the only one that can do so apart from Triple Star. It's very hard finding the Animal ability without dirt around. Animal doesn't work underwater.

Rage Slash - B - Kirby slashes forwards but with a small range. Can be used to dig.
Animal Fury - Dash B - Kirby jumps forwards. If he collides with an animal and slashes it, similar to Suplex.
Cling - Up while on a diggable ceiling - Cling on to a ceiling. Duh. Only if Kirby can dig through it, though.
Cling Slash - Up B while Clinging - Slash upwards while propelling Kirby forwards
Shovel Dig - Down B while on top of dirt - Slash downwards and dig
Drill Spin - Side B or Down B in midair - Kirby can do this after obtaining the Animal Scroll. He will spin like a drill, digging through dirt with invincibility frames.
Image:Animal_Art.PNG

BACKDROP - Whoo-HAAH! Once I grab a foe, throw him with the control pad!
Kirby can use a powerful wrestling technique, the back drop, to defeat his opponents!
Backdrop Kirby appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, as well as the Super Smash Bros. series as grab/throw. Kirby wears a dark headband similar to the Fighter ability, and its attacks are similar to Suplex in Ultra. Kirby will inhale or dash forwards and whatever he catches, he goes and throws them. Simple. He can only get this ability with Bugzzy, which interestingly enough gives Suplex in later games...

Capture - B - Kirby will inhale or dash, and grab whoever's in the way. Once someone is captured, it can be thrown by pressing any button on the control pad. If you don't pick, Kirby will pick for you. If an object is grabbed in mid-air Kirby will throw from there, or he might just fall.

Image:Backdrop.jpg

BALL - Change form and hold the A button! BOUNCE! BOING! BONK!
Kirby can roll into a smooth ball! If you hold the A button, he will jump higher!
Ball Kirby is a bit of a strange ability. It appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland and Super Smash Bros. Melee as a trophy. When Kirby uses this ability he's just like ball, and whatever he hits in the air dies. On the con side Ball is very hard to control, and if he lands on an enemy he takes damage. In Kirby Canvas Curse, yes, Kirby is a ball, technically but since he's got other abilities while being "Ball Kirby" it doesn't count.

Ball Transformation - B - Kirby turns into a ball and he is invincible in mid-air. To get out of Ball Form press B again.

Ball.PNG Image:Ball.jpg

BALLOON - Inflate! Pop to stun enemies!
Now this is very interesting. Balloon Kirby appears only in Kirby Canvas Curse and is basically Ball Kirby enlarged. Kirby turns into a balloon and each time you tap him he grows bigger. If you tap him too many times he explodes, taking out enemies with him. Then you can inflate him again. Like all helium balloons, Kirby will float when inflated. He can get the ability from Bloon.

Inflate - Tap with stylus - Kirby inflates and floats. Guide with rainbow lines.
Pop - Tap stylus four times - Kirby explodes and stuns enemies. Kirby doesn't die, though.

BATON (BATON TWIRLING) - Exclusive anime ability
Baton Kirby only appears in the Kirby: Right Back At Ya! anime and is one of the only four abilities (others being Water, Iron, and Top) that were created by fans. No, no names of attacks here. Anyways, Baton Kirby wears this little cloth on his head that gives Kirby the appearance of his angry look, even though he's smiling and his eyes are normal (angry face's eyes tilt downwards at the top. Just see the picture for Master or Fighter or some other ability picture). His baton is red and yellow, with tiny versions of himself on either ends. You can get Baton from Air Rider in the anime, and when Kirby uses it he zaps the enemy and controls it, sort of like Ghost Kirby. This only appears once in episode 97 along with the other abilities.

BEAM - This beam's like a whip! Whaa-pssssshh! Beam it! Beam it! Beam it!
Flail this beam like a whip. It has many useful attacks. Try to store a super shot!
Whip the beam! Hold to hover!
This beam's like a whip! Whaa-pssssshh! Beam it!
Use the Beam attack against enemies! Fire the beam by pressing Y. This is a very handy and useful ability.
Kirby fires a beam like that used by some enemies! This is an easy weapon to use!
This is a rather common ability - Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Super Star, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Canvas Curse, Kirby Squeak Squad, Super Smash Bros. Brawl (trophy) and Kirby Super Star Ultra. Kirby wears a jester hat, and the beam is the element of electricity (duh) and can fry the water and some metal surfaces in Squeak Squad. Beam is the simplest of all abilities to use and is sometimes considered as Sakurai's favorite. Beam might be weak but you can't guard from it! It also reaches behind walls. You can get Beam by Waddle Doos or Laser Ball (Super Star and Ultra only). The Helper is a Waddle Doo.

Beam Whip - B (tap in Canvas Curse) - Kirby throws a beam whip. In Squeak Squad, obtaining the Beam Scroll makes the beam stronger with more range. In Canvas Curse Kirby has the beam propelling around his body.
Wave Beam - Hold B, release - Kirby fires an energy beam. Only in Super Star and Ultra.
Capture Beam - Up or Down or Forward B near enemy - A grab, and a throw. Super Star and Ultra only.
Cycle Beam - B while dashing - A cyclone of beam orbs. Has about three star blocks size range. Super Star and Ultra only.
Beam Blast - Dash jump B - Kirby shoots beam bolts diagonally down. Super Star and Ultra only.

Beamkirby.jpgBeam2.jpgNormal beamkirby.jpgThumb beamkirby.jpgBeam.jpg

BOMB - Use B to pull out a bomb, and press B again to throw it. Move the +Control Pad to change where to throw it.
Grab a bomb and hold the button to set the throw angle. Toss it and it'll go Ka-BOOM!
HOLD! THROW!! BOOM!!!
Blast your enemies to bits! Take accurate aim and throw carefully. Your throw will be controlled by Y.
Bomb, like Beam, is another common ability added to the fact that it appears in Kirby Super Star, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Kirby Air Ride, Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, Kirby Squeak Squad and Kirby Super Star Ultra as well as the TV show Kirby: Right Back At Ya! (Bomb appears to be in the trailer for the Kirby Wii game, which hasn't come out yet). Bomb is basically Kirby with a blue floppy cap and a bomb (duh). In addition it can light fuses in Kirby & the Amazing Mirror as well as Kirby Squeak Squad. You can obtain Bomb from Poppy Bros. Jr., Perot, Jungle Bomb, Skud, Pedo, Rockn, Balloon Jumper, Foley, and Prank, and for mini-bosses it's Poppy Bros. Sr. or just Poppy Bros., but in Kirby Super Star and Ultra only.

Ready Bomb - B when Kirby's hands are empty - Kirby readies a bomb. If he doesn't throw it for too long, it'll blow up, hurting Kirby and other surrounding enemies (Helpers included). You can aim with the B button in Super Star and Ultra, but in Amazing Mirror and Squeak Squad this is by B and Up, as well as Down B.
Throw Bomb - B while holding bomb - Kirby throws the bomb. Element: Fire, Squeak Squad and Amazing Mirror only
Drop Bomb - B near enemy while holding bomb - Kirby sets a bomb on a REGULAR ENEMY. The bomb gets attached to the enemy and when it explodes it deals damage. Super Star and Ultra only.
Bomb Set - Down B - Kirby drops a bomb. Element Fire in Amazing Mirror and Squeak Squad
Straight Toss - Dash B with bomb in hand - Kirby throws a bomb that flies straight in front of him, neglecting gravity. Fire in AM and SS only.
Bomb Slide - Down A with bomb (AKA Slide with bomb) - Kirby sweeps with the bomb. If it touches anyone it'll explode but it'll be dropped anyways. Amazing Mirror and Squeak Squad only, with Fire element.

Bomb.JPEGBomb.PNGBomb.jpegBomb.JPGBomb.jpgBomb 1.jpg

BUBBLE - Mysterious bubbles can capture so much.
Bubble Kirby is an ability that appears in Kirby: Squeak Squad only. Kirby gets a shower cap with bubbles on it and a bubble-blowing wand. Because in Kirby Squeak Squad, abilities can be stored in bubbles in his stomach for up to five at a time, Bubble turns defeated enemies into ability bubbles, as well as damaging enemies. If the enemy doesn't have an ability like Waddle Dee, then it'll turn into a star. When tapped the star will go into Kirby's mouth and Kirby will be able to spit it out. Stars can be combined up to three times for gigantic stars. Get this ability with Bubble Head or Buboo.

Bubble Beam - B (or hold B) - Kirby fires a stream of bubbles to turn regular enemies into bubbles. While holding, the stream direction can be changed by pressing or holding up or down.
Big Bubble - Side B - Kirby throws a big bubble at a regular enemy. You can make it go up by pressing Up. The bubble turns the regular enemy into a bubble instantly. Requires the Bubble Scroll.

image:bubble.jpg

BURNING/BURN/FIREBALL - Flaming tackle time! Who's gonna stop me?
Charge ahead invincibly!
Kirby can turn into a flying fireball! Jump and attack in a flash of fire!
Burning is commonly mistaken for Fire, but no, Burning is different. Burning appeared in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Block Ball, Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby's Dream Land 3, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby 64: the Crystal Shards, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, and Kirby Canvas Curse. Duh, it's the Fire element, and is also called Burn or Fireball. You can get this with Flamer, Bobo, Burnis, Galbo, Magoo, Changer, Bukiset, Fire Lion, Batafire, Efrite, or Boboo. It can light fuses and destroy gray blocks that cannot be swallowed.

Burning Attack - B/Stylus Tap - Kirby sets on fire and flies forwards at a fast speed. He can break rainbow lines drawn in Kirby Canvas Curse. Yes, there are Animal Friend combo abilities that can be used underwater but they're just fireballs. Element Fire.

Burning.JPEGBurning.JPGimage:burning.jpgBurning.jpegBurning.JPEBurning.PNG

CLEAN - *Oops, there's no flavor text for it!
Clean. Right. A joke? Nope. Kirby fights with a broom. Right... Well, yeah. It has only made three appearances: Kirby's Dream Land 3, the anime Kirby: Right Back At Ya! and the upcoming Kirby Wii game. Kirby can use his broom to find the Heart Stars of KDD3, and yes, there are Animal Friend combo abilities. The Broom Hatter is the person to get the copy ability from, along with Keke, Bukiset, and Haboki. The Helper is Broom Hatter.

Sweep - Y - Kirby pushes a cloud of dust that damages an enemy. It can be used to clean things and reveal secret things

COOK - Cook your enemies into a nutritious and delicious snack. This trick only works once before it goes away!
What's on today's menu? Put all your foes in the pot and stew them to perfection!
When Kirby needs an energy boost, cook up some "gourmet enemy soup". Cook is a one course meal.
Cook Kirby is basically monsieur Chef Kirby, at your service. However, it's one-use only. It appears in Kirby Super Star and its remake, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Super Smash Bros. Brawl both as a move and trophy, as well as the anime. When Kirby uses it, he will cook any defeated mini-boss or regular enemy seen on screen at the time and cook them. After that they die, and Kirby is left with a bunch of nutritious food to heal himself. After that the ability goes away. Strangely, while Kirby is moving around his figure just blinks white every now and then and only wears his cooking hat while using his move. In Brawl, this is Kirby's Final Smash (for more on Final Smashes, see thebrawlpage.blogspot.com) and cooks anybody within an area - about half as much as Final Destination. In the anime, Cook makes seven appearances, ranking it the second most frequent ability in all, tied with Sword is Galaxia Kirby counts. You can get Cook from Prank, Cookin', Chef Kawasaki (who returns in the anime as a good guy), or the Smash Ball (Brawl only). And no, no Helper like all the other one-use abilities. Fun fact: Cook is one of the only abilities you can actually obtain through swallowing in Milky Way Wishes of Kirby Super Star and Ultra.

Cook Pot - B - All enemies onscreen are brought into Kirby's cooking pot and transformed into food Kirby can use to heal. In Brawl terms he will only bring out items but food counts as items.

Cook.jpgCook.jpegCook kirby.jpgCookkirby.gif

COPY - Use a strange light to analyze and then copy foes' abilities. Might you learn weird ones?
Copy enemies' abilities without fighting! The Helper will also be able to copy abilities!
Copy is a new addition to Kirby Super Star and Ultra. It's a one-use ability - you can copy a foe's ability. Get this from TAC, the Helper is also TAC! Copy's Deluxe Copy Essence Pedestal in Milky Way Wishes of both games is found on the level ???, the little shining star to the bottom-left corner of Cavius. Extremely useful in Milky Way Wishes, seeing that you have to find all the other copy abilities.

Analyze Beam - B/Y - Kirby copies an ability if the scanner hits. It's the only way to get Crash from Scarfy and the Mad Apple because you can't swallow them.
Copy.jpg image:copy.png

CRASH - Warning! Use only as a last resort!
KO all foes with a big BOOM! But be careful. The ultimate weapon has only 1 charge.
Crash is another one-use ability. Crash is a somewhat stronger version of Mike but a no-health-replenish version of Cook. Kirby will hit anything onscreen - including bosses and mini-bosses. Kirby will leap into the air while the screen turns white and deal mass damage. It appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Super Star and its remake, Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Canvas Curse, Kirby Super Star Ultra and as well as the anime. In Ultra, Meta Knight's Mach Tornado of Meta Knightmare Ultra is somewhat similar to Crash but with an animated move. Kirby doesn't have a hat in games but has one in the anime. Unlike the Mike ability, Kirby gets to pick who gets hurt and who doesn't. In Mike, even Meta Knight had to cover his ears to block Kirby's horrid singing! Anyways, while using Crash the game pauses so your foe wouldn't run away and like other 1-use (or 3-use) abilities Crash makes no Helper. You can also press switches you can't reach. Enemies that give you Crash are Bomber, Scarfy & Mad Apple (only available with Copy for you can't inhale them), Paint Roller's Bomb as well as Poppy Bros. the Mini-boss if the game you're playing has no Bomb Ability.

Crash Fireball - B - Everything freezes on-screen, destroying enemies and dealing heavy damage to bosses when Kirby lands. Can also set bombs and push buttons. I don't believe this works on the Reactor.

Crash.jpegCrash.JPGCrashanime.pngCrash.jpg

CUPID/ANGEL - Fire a pointy arrow. Press and release B to fire the arrow. Change where you aim with the Control Pad
Now here's an odd ability. Similar to Pit's copy ability in SSBB, Cupid Kirby appears in Kirby & the Amazing Mirror along with Kirby Squeak Squad. This is when Kirby gets a tiny bow, a tiny heart-shaped arrow, and tiny wings. You get this ability from the enemy Cupie. To make things clearer, the technical name for Cupid is Arrow Kirby. Clear? Anyways, Cupid Kirby enables Kirby to fly around shooting arrows at people. You can control the arrows, but unfortunately the arrows fall shortly after they're fired.

Angel Arrow - B - Kirby fires a single arrow that can be aimed in a direction by pressing a button on the + Pad
Arrow Acrimony - Holding B (short) - Kirby can fire an arrow that shoots forwards faster.
Arrow Judgement - Holding B (long) - Kirby fires three arrows.
Heavenly Wrath - Dash B - Kirby shoots out three arrows like his Arrow Judgement. These go straight forward without falling. Only available once the Ability Scroll is found.
Flight - Any arrow button - Kirby uses his wings to hover. In Amazing Mirror unless if you keep moving Kirby will fall, but this was cancelled in Squeak Squad.
Cupid.jpg

CURLING STONE - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Curling Stone is a mix of Stone and Ice abilities. Kirby will turn into a stone used to play curling, and will slide around freezing enemies. Kirby will slow down eventually.

Transform - B - Kirby turns into a curling stone and slides. Press B to turn back to Kirby or just wait it out.

Image:Curling_stone.JPG

CUTTER - Remote cutter BOOMERANG!
Throw a boomerang all over! Slash! Jab! Strike! You can even cut ropes!
Throw the Cutter farther by holding B. Aim up or down with the +Control Pad.
The Cutter Boomerang is coming right back at ya!
The Cutter can cut anything in it's path. Use it cut down enemies, as well as ropes that get in your way.
Kirby can throw a series of cutters that return like boomerangs!
Like several other copy abilities, Cutter Kirby is very well known to Kirby fans. It appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Land 3, Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Squeak Squad, the Super Smash Bros. series as Kirby's up-B, Kirby Super Star Ultra as well as the Kirby: Right Back At Ya! anime. Like the name suggests, Cutter Kirby can cut ropes that refrain you from treasures in Great Cave Offensive and Kirby wears a duck hat. In the anime it is shown that Kirby takes off the blade from his hat and throws it, yet in some games Kirby is able to throw multiple cutters... with one hat. In Squeak Squad and some other games Kirby can control the direction his blades go. In Kirby 64 the blade Kirby uses is his own face (see Double Cutter below). Yes, and also, there are Animal Friend combo abilities. They're all related to cutter, so go to wikipedia if you really want to know them. You get Cutter with Sir Kibble, Kapar, Bukiset, Fishbone, Sawyer, Boomerang Poppy Bros. Jr. and Walyu the Miniboss. Helper: Sir Kibble.

Cutter Boomerang - B/Y - Kirby throws a boomerang. The simplest of all. It can be controlled with the control pad and using Squeak Squad's Cutter Scroll the blade becomes larger and more powerful. It can cut ropes.
Cutter Dash - Dash B - Kirby swings his blade forwards
Sweep Cutter - Hold B in Midair - Kirby throws a cutter like normal but holds out another boomerang, dealing more damage.
Cutter Drop - Down B in Midair - Kirby holds his cutter in front of him, damaging enemies as he fall, and also enemies he falls on.
Cleaving Cutter/Nonstop Cutter/Final Cutter - Up, Down, or Forward B near enemy - Kirby attacks like wielding a sword. He slashes the enemy twice and jumps in the air, performing a move like a rather fast Cutter Drop. The final slash generates an energy wave once he lands. Sometimes confused with Sword's Final Cutter.

Cutter.JPGCutter.jpgCutter.JPEGCutter.jpegCutterkirby.gifCutter.gifCutter.PNG

DOUBLE CUTTER - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Double Cutter Kirby is a mix of Cutter and Cutter, when Kirby splits himself into two. One half is completely vulnerable - no attacks, no flying - but his other half turns into a humongous Cutter. Like a normal boomerang, it will always return to Kirby, but unlike Cutter, it can travel through the ground.

Cutter Throw - B - Kirby throws one half of himself and turns it into a spiked cutter. Covers greater area than normal boomerang. Can pass through the ground.

DOUBLE FIRE/DOUBLE FIREBALL - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Double Fire, or Double Fireball, or here known as DF, is an ability with mixed Burning and Burning. When used, Kirby turns into a fiery V-shaped fire needle, piercing everything in his path. Great if you're speedrunning Kirby 64. Oh, and if you can't see Kirby in the picture, try looking above the two parasols for that cone-shaped fireball there.

Burn Dash - B - Kirby turns into a cone of fire. It's way larger and flies way farther. Fast, too. Invincibility frames.

DOUBLE NEEDLE - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Double Needle is Needle and Needle mixed together. When used, Kirby turns into a ball with pointy things sticking out of him: a corkscrew, a sharp pencil, a compass, a nail, a bee's stinger and a bit of the body, a fork, a cactus plant, and a syringe gun. He'll bounce around and will turn back to Kirby, until you turn into needle form again. You can stick onto walls with this.

Ultimate Spike - B - Kirby turns into his needle form, bouncing around before turning back into Kirby. Can also cling to walls.

DOUBLE SPARK - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Double Spark is a combination of Spark and Spark (duh) and is when Kirby creates a force field of energy around him. Well, it's really just three rings of electricity but still dangerous. However, he is still vulnerable and as he walks around the rings shrink. I suppose you can call it Spark, but it's got larger range.

Spark - B - Kirby does his three ring movement.

DOUBLE STONE - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Double Stone is a mix of Stone and Stone, turning Kirby into a giant stone statue of himself. You can even move with Double Stone, unlike other abilities. The only down side is that he can't jump. The biggest upside is that he's invulnerable while in Stone form. You will roll on a slope.

Transform - B - Kirby turns into his stone statue. Press B again to have Kirby explode the rock off him. Can damage enemies.

Image:Doubel_stone.JPG

DYNAMITE - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Dynamite (do not confuse with Dynablade) is a mix of Stone and Bomb. Dynamite is when Kirby throws a candy-like bomb at enemies. It will blow up quickly and will even harm Kirby if he's in range during the explosion. Before it explodes, Kirby can kick it around. You can duck to wear your hard hat, and it prevents you from taking damage (dynamite only). You can control the angle the bomb is thrown at.

Dynamite Throw - B - Kirby throws a dynamite. You can kick it around but it will damage you if you don't get out of there fast enough.
Cover - Down after Dynamite Throw - Kirby wears his hard hat that protects him from the bomb's explosion. No, it can't protect you from anything else.

Image:Dynamite.JPG

ELECTRIC ROCK - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Electric Rock is a mix of Stone and Spark, and is like this giant stone yo-yo attached by a strand of electricity. While the rock can't go through walls, the electric wire can. While you're using it you can move the rock around. Kirby can't float while using the attack and if it hits Kirby it will explode.

Rock Throw - B - Kirby throws his electric/stone yo-yo. Press B again to make it explode.

Image:Electric_Rock.JPG

EXPLODING GORDO - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Exploding Gordo is a combination of Needle and Bomb. Kirby will literally turn into the lord of spikes, Kirby can move around - slowly - while in Gordo form, and when he explodes, he sends spikes going in every direction. However, you can't walk or jump - floating only. The Gordo will turn back to Kirby after a while or if you press B.

Transform - B - Kirby turns into his Gordo form

Image:Exploding_Gordo.JPG

EXPLODING SNOWMAN - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Exploding Snowman is a combo of Ice and Bomb, and Kirby turns into a snowman similar to Chilly! Kirby will walk around with a bomb on his head and when a foe walks into him, Kirby will explode. However, Kirby is immobilized after the explosion, leaving him very vulnerable. Kirby can't fly while he's a snowman, but he can jump.

Transform - B - Kirby turns into his snowman bomb

File:ExplodingSnowman.png

FIGHTER - Go for it! CHAMPION!
Unfortunately I couldn't find more flavor texts for Fighter, although it's a common ability... but still... Anyways. Fighter is another one of those common abilities, appearing in Kirby Super Star, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Squeak Squad, Kirby Super Star Ultra, as well as Super Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl for a trophy. When used, Kirby wears a headband, and is a rather strong attack. It also appears in the anime as one of the strongest abilities - the strongest Fighter ability being Rising Break. During episodes with Knuckle Joe in it, Kirby and KJ like to scratch their noses before a fight, even though neither even have noses. You can get Fighter by inhaling Knuckle Joe, Boxin, Blue Golem, Iron Mom, or Box Boxer. Helper: Knuckle Joe. Warning: very long list of attacks.

Vulcan Jab - BBB - Kirby fires a series of energy beams with weak range.
Smash Punch - B/Y Held - Kirby throws a punch that goes pretty far
Leg Sweep - Dash Short B or Right/Left B - Kirby slides along the ground similar to the slide movement.
Spin Kick - Dash Long B - Kirby does a running kick
Down Kick - Down B/Y in Midair Short - Kirby falls and anything he lands on gets creamed. If you press B for a longer time Kirby will do a Smash Punch instead.
Double Kick - Right B in midair - As Kirby falls he does two kicks
Rising Break - Up B - Kirby does a humongous uppercut like a Smash Punch going up
Arm Throw - B/Y Near Enemy - Kirby grabs an enemy and tosses them forwards. Deals damage if the tossed enemy hits anyone else.
Tomoe Throw (Overheap Throw) - Down B near enemy - Kirby grabs an enemy and throws them behind him
Aerial Spin Kick - Right B/Y in Midair - Kirby spins around in midair
Energy Blast - B/Y Held - Kirby shoots an energy blast. It takes less time to charge as Kirby's health depletes. With the Fighter Scroll in Squeak Squad, it allows Kirby to make his attacks stronger
Air Drop - Right/Down/Up B - Kirby takes the enemy into the air and slams them into the ground. This comes from Ninja. Squeak Squad only.

Fighter.jpegFighter.jpgFighter kirby.jpgFighter.JPG

FIRE - Fire! Hot! So hot! Too hot to touch! Burning!
Burn bright with fire power! Light the fuse! Yow! Hot! You're on fire, man! Yoww!
Fire!! Hot! So hot! Too hot to touch!
Use Dash and Y to hurl burning fireballs. You can light fuses, candles, or even yourself to become a mega-powerful weapon.
Kirby can breathe fire! Enemies beware, or you're gonna get burned!
Fire is another one of those famous abilities. Often confused with Burning, Fire is when Kirby BREATHES fire, and Burning is where Kirby BURNS and shoots forwards. Fire Kirby is obtained by inhaling Acchi, Burning Leo, Hot Head, Flamer (Squeak Squad only), Prank, Heat Phan Phan, and Fire Lion (KSSU and anime only), with helper Burning Leo. Kirby wears a flaming hat and spews fiery breath. Duh. Oh, and Fire Kirby appeared as a trophy in both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl. Fire occurs ten times in the anime, making it the most reoccurring ability.

Fire Blast - B/Y - Kirby spews fire. It can go through walls and can be aimed in some games with Up or Down.
Fire Ball Inferno - (facing right) Left B/Y - Kirby catches on fire, similar the Dash B attack of Ice, but it needs more time to start, deals more damage, and needs more time to cancel.
Burning Attack - Dash B/Y - Kirby becomes a fireball. See Burning Copy Ability
Fireball Spin - B/Y Midair - Kirby spins in a ball of fire. If you press B/Y again just before Kirby lands he will roll along.
Blazing Flare - A - Kirby Air Ride only, Kirby spits out a flame that acts like a roadblock. If you hold down A the flame gets bigger.

Fire.gifFire.JPEGNormal firekirby.jpgFire.jpegFire.jpgFire Kirby Anime.jpg

FIRE ARROW - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Fire Arrow is a mix of Burning and Needle, when Kirby turns himself into an arch and fires a fiery arrow. The longer you hold B, the further the arrow will go... you need this to get the Crystal Shard in stage 6-3.

Launch - B or B Hold - Kirby fires his arrow. Element Fire.

Image:Fire_arrow.JPG

FIRE STARTER - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Fire Starter is a mix of Burning and Spark, when Kirby rubs a sheet on his head, until it gets enough static electricity to set his head on fire. While running around Kirby can't fly and won't stop moving, but he isinvulnerable and destroys most enemies upon contact. Hilarious!

Rub/Burn - B - Kirby sets his head on fire. Hilarious.

File:Fire spark.png

FIRE SWORD (Squeak Squad) - CUT. Can't be used in water.
Fire Sword is the Squeak Squad mix of Fire and Sword, but unlike regular Sword, Fire Sword can't be used in water. No, scratch that. It turns into a normal sword underwater, since water puts out fire... Anyways, it has the same properties as sword, apart from that it can light fuses and candles, which is rather handy. Requires the Sword Scroll, which sucks but you should be able to find it easily.

Sword Slash - B - Kirby slashes with his sword
Multi-Slash - BB - Kirby swings his sword fast
Super Slash - BBB - Kirby attacks with really fast slashes
Final Cutter - Up B - Kirby jumps in the air and comes down striking his sword to the ground. Similar to Final Cutter from Cutter.
Sword Spin - B in midair - Kirby swings the sword in midair.

+

FIRE SWORD (Crystal Shards) - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Fire Sword is Cutter and Burning mixed together, with Cutter substituting Sword for it doesn't appear in the game. Like the name, Fire Sword is a long spear-like sword set on fire, giving enemies some taste of Kirby and knocking some sense into them. Kirby can also throw the sword away, but it comes back. This is one of the most useful abilities, and the only downside is that Kirby can't fly while holding the sword.

Swing - B - Kirby takes the sword out of his mouth and swings it
Up - Up - Kirby raises his sword, dealing with airborne enemies
Throw - Up B - Kirby throws his sword straight forwards. Don't ask why it isn't Side B instead.

Image:Fire_sword.JPG

FIREWORKS - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Fireworks is a mix of Burning and Bomb, and with this Kirby will jump up into the air and explode fireworks. Each time Kirby uses it he jumps a bit higher but you can only use it three times in the air, and then you'll have to land before you use it again - similar to many Up B moves in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Explosion - B - Kirby sets off his fireworks. These can make him go up a bit.

FREEZE - Stop! Come no closer! I'll chill you to the bone!
Slide along and KO foes!
Kirby can create a shield to freeze enemies! He can then knock away the frozen blocks!
Freeze, like Burning and Fire, is confused with Ice. Freeze is when Kirby surrounds himself with a field of fire, freezing enemies into ice cubes. This is rather like Spark and Needle. It appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Air Ride, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland, and Kirby Canvas Curse. The hat (KCC excepted) is rather like a parka, very similar to the Ice Climbers' parkas in the Super Smash Bros. series. It is obtained by inhaling Chilly, Snoppy, or Mr. Frosty. Sometimes Mr. Frosty gives Ice instead.

Freezer Blizzard - B/A/Stylus tap - An ice storm encompasses Kirby all around. It freezes enemies into ice cubes (duh) and only projectiles can harm Kirby while using this ability.

Normal freezekirby(adventure).jpgFreezeKCC.jpgNormal freezekirby.jpgFreeze.jpg

GHOST - I will possess. I will control. I'm a spooky soul. I'm not scary, though, right?
Ghost is an unique ability (well, all of them are, but this one stands out) found only in Kirby Squeak Squad. It is an unlockable ability by obtaining all seven Ghost Medal pieces. Then, the first miniboss in each game will be turned into the new miniboss Tedhaun. Ghost possesses enemies and then you get to control them. Unfortunately, you can't pass through floors Kirby can pass through nor can you go through doors, either, with ghost. In Kirby Super Star Ultra, Ghost Kirby appears as a ghost for your past data in Gourmet Race for you to race. Oh, and one more thing, this will be a very long attack ability.

Ghost Kirby

Wheelie

GIANT SNOWBALL - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Giant Snowball is a mix of Ice and Ice, when Kirby turns into a giant snowball that will roll along. Any enemy he hits will be collected into his snowball. Oddly, it works in non-snowy areas too... Anyways, if he hits a wall, or you press B again, then the five most recently absorbed enemies are launched out.

Roll - B - Kirby turns into snowball form.

Image:Gigant_snowball2.jpg

HAMMER - Instant KO. It's almost unfair.
Flatten your foes with these superspecial moves: Right, right, Up B, B
Pound 'em to the ground! Pound pegs and break open new areas!
Break through solid obstacles and pound in stakes to take Kirby to hidden areas
This weapon is very powerful. Use it on stubborn bad guys to clear your path!
Hammer is one of those stronger abilities saved especially for bosses who deserve them. However, Hammer is very hard to obtain as you can only get it from the Orange Dygclops and Bonkers, who is Kirby's Helper when it comes to the Hammer ability. Yet in spite of all that, it can pound stakes, destroy hard blocks, burn fuses and can destroy the dirt in Heavy Mole's arena in Squeak Squad. On top of all that, it appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Super Star, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby: Squeak Squad, Kirby Super Star Ultra, the Kirby: Right Back At Ya! anime as well as the Super Smash Bros. Series as Kirby's side-special move. While having the hammer ability Kirby wears a blue-white chord around his head, but in the Kirby Wii, which Hammer has definitely had an appearance in, Kirby is given a hard hat rather than his string. In Kirby Air Ride Hammer is more of an item than an ability. It is also one of the rarer abilities that can be used underwater, along with Sword and Parasol, and some other abilities. In the anime, when Kirby is in the transformation sequence, he holds a variety of objects like rakes, sticks, and sickles before finally getting his hammer. Oh, and also, Hammer is powerful but it has no projectiles whatsoever and are only good for close-range combat, but on the other hand it deals massive damage and some moves have invincibility frames.

Hammer Nail - B/Y - Kirby pounds the ground with his hammer. It can pound stakes.
Giant Hammer - Hold B - In Squeak Squad, after obtaining the Hammer Scroll, Kirby can hold B to power the hammer. It grows to epic size and when released Kirby pounds enemies into pancakes.
Hammer Swing - Dash B/Y - Kirby goes spins forwards holding out his hammer. Has invincibility frames and is useful for getting past bosses who won't let you past.
Giant Swing - B/Y in midair - Kirby spins holding his hammer out. Like a midair Hammer Swing.
Ultra Giant Swing - Dash B/Y in Midair - a more powerful Giant Swing. Kirby's hammer also goes faster.
Hammer Flip - Up B/Y - Kirby charges up his hammer, which lights on fire. After that he swings it upwards. This can light fuses and deals massive damage - one hit can kill most mini-bosses. However, it has a lag to it and no invincibility while doing so, so it is wise not to use on regular enemies and faster bosses.
Hammer Throw - Dash X - Kirby sacrifices his weapon by throwing it away. It can deal massive damage to bosses but then Kirby has no ability left because he threw away his hammer.
Smash Hammer - Side B (Amazing Mirror only) - When Kirby gets the Smash ability in K&TAM, he spins it sideways, similar to the Super Smash Bros. series as Kirby's side special.

Normal hammerkirby(adventure).jpgHammerkirby.jpgHammerkirby2.jpgNormal hammerkirby.jpgHammer.jpg

HI-JUMP (HIGH JUMP) - Woosh! Soar! Jump and Smash!
Big jump=Big Tackle!
Kirby can jump many times higher than usual! Jump and dive attack to beat the enemy!
Hi-Jump is a strange ability. Kirby will jump into enemies and butt them with his head. It can also destroy gray blocks with the Hi-Jump Scroll. Hi-Jump appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland and Kirby Squeak Squad. Obtain the ability by inhaling Starman! This is very effective for fighting Kracko but I still prefer Tornado, personally.

Leap - B - Kirby jumps into the air with an explosion at his feet. In Squeak Squad, with the Hi-Jump Scroll, Kirby produces a blue force field while airborne.

Hijump.gifimage:HiJump.jpgHighjump.jpg

ICE - Freeze foes with icy breath! Kick ice cubes into others! When you dash, you skate!
First I'll freeze 'em, then I'll kick 'em along! Brrrr! (This flavor text is used by three games: Nightmare in Dreamland, Amazing Mirror, and Squeak Squad)
Turn Kirby into the ice man and turn enemies into frozen blocks of ice. Don't slip!
Kirby can freeze enemies with his cold breath! He can then throw them into others!
Ice is another one of those reoccurring copy abilities. Ice is very common, appearing in the very first Kirby game: Kirby's Adventure. That, and along with Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Land 3, Kirby 64: the Crystal Shards, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Squeak Squad, Kirby Super Star Ultra, the anime as well as appearing as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Ice Kirby is obviously ice element and in some games excluding Ultra and Super Star, it can freeze water and lava. You can get Ice by inhaling Pengi, Chilly (KSS and Ultra, and KDL3 only) along with Master Pengi, Prigis, Emp, Wappa, Prank, Bukiset, Propeller, Mr. Frosty, and Yuki. The Helper is Chilly. When Kirby dashes he skates instead. In the anime, Ice Kirby appears five times, ranking fourth in appearance along with Tornado.

Freeze Breath - B/Y - Kirby fires a blast from his mouth. It can freeze enemies into ice cubes that can also be kicked along and damage enemies. In Squeak Squad, with the Ice Scroll, you can angle the breath. It can freeze water and lava.
Freezer - Dash B/Y - Kirby emits an ice aura around himself, damaging nearby enemies. Same as Freeze.
Freeze Sprinkle - Dash B/Y in midair, but Dash is optional - Kirby spins in midair while breathing ice. By dashing this is faster.
Freezer Suction - B/Y near enemy - Kirby sucks up the unfortunate fellow and by pressing B/Y again Kirby will spit it out.
Ice Kick - Run into an ice block - Kirby kicks the ice block that used to be his enemy. It can damage enemies.

Ice.gifIce.JPGIce kirby.jpgIce.jpegIceAnime.gifIcekirby.jpgIce.jpg

ICE SKATING - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Ice Skating is a mix of Ice and Cutter, when Kirby is like Ice Kirby dashing. Kirby dons a pair of figure skates and proceeds to skate very fast. This is like an icy version of Ball Kirby. Kirby's only means of attacks are to jump into people in mid-air, and if you crash into an enemy while on the ground you take damage. And yes, Kirby knows how to figure skate. Freaky, huh?

Frozen Axel - A - Kirby jumps. Similar to Ball Kirby's form of attacking.
Halt - B - Kirby stops and goes back to walking

Image:Cutter ice.PNG

ICE BOMB - Oops, can't find a flavor text for this one...
Ice Bomb is a combo in Kirby Squeak Squad, a mix of Ice and Bomb (duh). Yes, the Bomb scroll is required for this move. Anyways, the Ice Bomb is basically Ice Kirby with projectiles - the last thing the Fire Owl or Batafire needs. It can destroy small fires Acchis leave behind, as well as freezing both water and lava so you can walk on them.

Hold Bomb - B - Kirby gets a bomb. It will explode if you don't throw them quickly.
Throw Bomb - B while doing Hold Bomb - Kirby throws the bomb. Angle if by pressing Up or Down.
Drop Bomb - Down B wile Hold Bomb - Kirby sets a bomb on the ground. Run before it explodes.
Straight Toss - Dash B while holding bomb - Kirby throws a bomb that goes straight
Bomb Slide - Down A while holding bomb - Kirby sweeps with the bomb. It'll explode when it hits something.

+

ICE SWORD - CUT. Can't be used in water
Ice Sword needs the Sword ability to use it, but you get it by mixing Ice and Sword. Yes, you need the darn Sword Scroll to use it, but the end result is worth it. Anyways, it turns into a regular sword in the water. What do you expect? It's just a sword with the ice element!

Sword Slash - B - Kirby slashes
Multi-Slash - BB - Kirby swings his sword faster
Super Slash - BBB - Kirby attacks really fast
Final Cutter - Up B - Kirby jumps in the air and comes down with his sword in front of him. Cutter Kirby's Final Cutter without the first two moves.
Sword Spin - B in midair - Kirby swings his sword around him as he spins in midair.

+

IRON - Kirby anime ability
Iron Kirby (not to be confused with Metal or Stone) is an exclusive Kirby: Right Back At Ya! ability created by fans along with Water, Baton, and Top, that all appear in episode 97 of the show. Iron Kirby is exactly like Metal but with a different color (metallic gold) and he has a golden staff to deflect attacks. Again, like Baton, he gets this ability from Air Rider. For the picture, it'll alternate between non-iron form and iron form every few seconds.

image:iron.gif

JET - Strap jet power to your back! Hold the B button to charge, then let go to hit Mach 5!
Turn Kirby into a dangerous Jet. Store Jet power by holding Y. The more power you store, the more powerful the attack.
Again, like Hi-Jump, Jet is a strange ability. It has only made three appearances: Kirby Super Star, Kirby Super Star Ultra, and the Kirby anime. You can get Jet from Capsule J or Capsule J2, and the Helpers for Jet are CJ for KSS, and CJ2 for KSSU. Jet Kirby is like the name says - a jet. Kirby even has cute goggles! The jet flare can light fuses.

Store Power - Hold B/Y - Kirby stores power. You can save the power by jumping or guarding, and guarding is recommended for jumping has no invincibility frames. Charging at full power attacks deal more damage.
Jet Kick - Let go of B/Y - Kirby lunges forwards
Jet Heading - Let go of B/Y in midair - Kirby dives forwards
Jet Dash - Let go of B/Y at Full Power - Kirby launches forwards at high speed. If you press B/Y again before Kirby stops, a powerful burst of sparkles emit in front of Kirby. This move is the Jet Cracker.
Jet Blow - Let go of B/Y near enemy - Kirby sucks up the enemy and blasts it out again
Rocket Dive - At full power, let go of B/Y while holding Down, Right, or Up, Kirby will grab and enemy and loop around.
Hover - A in midair - Kirby's jet will keep him in the air
Ultra-jet Jump - A in midair at full power (saved) - Kirby launches into the air like Hi-Jump

Jet.jpgJetkirby.gif

KABUKI - Anime ability
Kabuki is a rather strange ability - it only appears in the eight-minute-long "Take it Down! The Crustacean Demon Beast Ebizou". At the first impression, Kirby is a tiny Kabuki fighter with a stick for stubborn enemies, but then he's really this guy with a stick - a human. Scary, huh?

LASER - OPTICAL WEAPON ARMED. It's rumored to be a bigger beam than it used to be.
Light amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation - and it ricochets of hills, too!
Kirby can fire a laser beam! This beam will bounce off slopes, so try it in many places!
Laser Kirby is exactly like a laser - he fires them at enemies. It bounces off slopes, so it's rather effective for hitting bombs you can't reach. It appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, and Kirby Squeak Squad. You can get it from the Laser Ball, the Metal Guardian, and Doc's laser cannon. In Brawl, ROB Kirby is pretty much the same thing as Laser, and the color of Kirby's beam matches his color in Squeak Squad.

Laser Blast - B - Kirby shoots a laser. It will bounce of slopes or angled areas. Can burn through fuses, light candles, and burn through clouds - Squeak Squad only.
Big Laser Blast - Hold B and Release - Kirby fires a regular laser and then a bigger laser. Only available after the Laser Scroll. Can also do what Laser Blast can.

Laser.gifLaser.jpg

LIGHT - Brighten those dark corners! *Can be only used once.
Dark areas can be spooky! This lets Kirby set off fire-works! It works only in the dark!
Light is a one-use ability that appears in Kirby's Adventure and its remake, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland. Light is also rare in the two games - you can only get it through Cool Spook. Light is the only ability to not have any damage on enemies - it only illuminates the room you're in. However, in Kirby Super Star, Ultra, and Squeak Squad, you can use Fire to light candles to illuminate rooms - especially in Great Cave Offensive or finding other treasures in Squeak Squad.

Illuminate - B - Kirby gives a small ball of light that will expand, lighting up dark corners and revealing secret doors. Does not damage enemies.

Image:Light.jpgLight.gif

LIGHT BULB - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Light Bulb is a combo of Spark and Bomb, when Kirby turns into a light bulb and then explodes. This is like the Light ability as Ice Skating is of Ball but Kirby can actually attack rather than be harmless! The bulb can also illuminate darker areas but when the bulb explodes, that's the attack. You can also see Adeleine's messages that help you find Crystal Shards.

Transform - B - Kirby turns into a lightbulb. Not recommended for fighting as you have to wait for the bulb to explode. Similar to Exploding Snowman.

Image:Lightbulb_blast.JPG

LIGHT SABER - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Light Saber is not a mix of Sword and Light for neither appears in the game, but of Cutter and Spark instead. Light Saber is like a different sort of Fire Sword, when Kirby holds an energy blade in the center. This is possibly a reference to the light saber from Star Wars. This is the only way to reach a Crystal Shard on level 5-4. Arguably one of the strongest abilities in the game, but not the fastest.

Saber Dance - B - Kirby swings his Light Saber
Saber Guard - Automatic - Kirby holds his saber behind him to protect himself
Light Tornado - Left Right fast - Kirby moves back and forth to make the saber "dance".

Image:Light_saber.JPG

LIGHTNING ROD - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Lightning Rod is a mix of Needle and Spark, when Kirby turns into a lightning rod. A split second after he will get fried - no, not really - and hurt surrounding enemies. This is a reference to Kracko's lightning attack and possibly Spark's attack in Canvas Curse. You can aim the lightning.

Lightning Bolt - B - Kirby turns into a lightning rod that attracts electricity.

LOVE-LOVE STICK (HEART ROD) - Oops, no flavor text....
The Love-Love Stick is basically a heart version of the Star Rod. Kirby uses this is Kirby's KiraKira Kids as well as Kirby's Dream Land 3 when he wields it to fight Dark Matter and Zero (not to be confused with Zero Two, the boss for Crystal Shards). Like the Star Rod, the Love-Love Stick is a striped white-and-red stick with a heart on top rather than a star. You can get this ability by collecting the 30 Heart Stars from the stages. You can get the Heart Stars by completing a small task. Anyways, the Heart Rod is very similar to the Star Rod. Like I've said before, the only difference is that the Love-Love Stick is a heart version instead of a star version.

Swing - B - Kirby swings his Love-Love Stick. Unlike Star Rod, hearts come out instead.

image:Love_Love_Stick.png

MAGIC - Gather round and look closely! Nothing in my hand! Nothing in my sleeve!
No telling what will happen when you use it, but... once you use it, you lose it!
Magic appears only in Amazing Mirror and Squeak Squad, and interestingly enough, it's a one-use ability in AM but a regular ability in SS. You can only get it through the mini-boss Boxy and it can cut, destroy, and pound. Magic, like the name suggests, is when Kirby turns into a magician and defeats enemies with playing cards... literally.

Roulette - B/Hold B in SS - Kirby will get a random ability but Master or Triple Star aren't included. If it's a 1Up all enemies on-screen become 1Ups. If it's a cherry then all enemies onscreen become food. If it's the Invincibility Candy (AKA Super) then Kirby becomes invincible. On Meta Knight's sword, Galaxia, Meta Knight will come and slice all enemies onscreen. In SS Meta Knight is replaced by fireworks, with the same effect, but you need the Magic Scroll first.
Doves - B - SS only. Kirby lowers his hat. Three doves fly out in different angles and hit enemies.
Card Trick - Left/Right B - Kirby has three green razor-sharp cards fly out horizontally in front of him. They can cut ropes and grass clumps.
Clown Spring - Up B - Kirby lowers his hat and a clown comes out, like a Clown-in-a-Box. It bounces a few times and goes back in the hat. This can push stumps like Hammer.

Magic.jpegImage:Magic.jpg

MASTER - Almighty Sword! It can be used on all puzzles!
Master is the Final Weapon for Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, used to defeat Dark Mind. You get it automatically when Meta Knight throws his sword to Kirby, but this isn't called Galaxia because Galaxia appears in the anime and that sword had spikes coming out of it. Master is like a golden regular sword with more attacks and more powerful. Master, like Triple Star, won't disappear unless Kirby spits it out or it falls down a hole, and during the battle with Dark Mind, if it does go off the screen Shadow Kirby will come and throw it back (don't ask why). Master, also like Triple Star, can destroy grey blocks as well as pound stakes and light fuses. Again like Triple Star, it's the only other ability that can be dropped.

Sword Slash - B - Kirby slashes
Uppercut - Up B - Kirby stabs up. This is slower than regular Sword's Uppercut but it does a lot more damage.
Multi-sword Stab - BBB - Kirby attacks really fast
Sword Spin - B in midair - Kirby swings the sword in midair
Drill Rush - Dash B - Kirby drills forwards like Drill from Kirby 64 and one of Animal's moves in Squeak Squad. This flies ridiculously fast, and it would make any cop nearby want to put on a speeding ticket. This appears as a move Meta Knight uses in Brawl.
Sword Beam - Hold and Release B - Kirby slashes and a sword beam comes out - it's huge. Unlike Sword's version, this deals more damage and goes faster. Appears in the anime as Sword Kirby's most powerful move.
Down Thrust - Down B in midair - Kirby thrusts his sword down
Final Cutter - Down B and Up B immediately after - Kirby jumps in the air and falls with sword held out in front of him.

image:master.jpg

MELTING ICE CUBE - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Melting Ice Cube is a rather strange ability - a mix of Burning and Ice, two elements that are unlikely to get together and be pals. Anyway, Kirby freezes himself into an ice cube as if he had just touched a Chilly, and quickly melts it off again with fire. The steam can defeat enemies, but the only downside is that Kirby can't move while using the attack.

Freeze & Melt - B - Kirby turns into a block of ice and melts himself (No, Kirby is still alive)

Image:Melting_Ice_Cube.JPG

METAL - Be careful. You can't get hurt, but don't get mad if you break stuff. It's not perfect, OK?
Metal makes a special appearance in Kirby: Squeak Squad and obtained through either Metalun or the boss, Big Metalun. Boring names, huh? Anyways, Kirby is invincible through regular enemies but when it comes to bosses... Metal is used more of an advantage for fighting strong winds and going through long boss-free levels. When you touch a boss, you get hurt like always. Furthermore, Metal has sucky attacks and is real slow - your payment for being invincible during regular levels. Like Fire and Burning, Spark and Plasma, Freeze and Ice, Metal is often confused with Stone.

Ground Pound - B in midair - Kirby pounds to the ground. Metal Kirby's only mean of attack.
Ball - B - Kirby turns into a ball. He can roll down hills and it works on mini-bosses too. Can only be used after finding the Metal Scroll.

image:metal.jpg

MIKE - Uwaaahhh! Oooooh yeahhhh! Un-hunhhh! Baaaaby! Rock on!! *Can only be used three times
Mike, or Microphone, is when Kirby begins to sing... in the anime, it does not discriminate between friend and foe. Even Meta Knight has to cover his ears! Anyways, it's a three-use ability, apart from the anime, but anyways, it appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Super Star & Ultra, Kirby Air Ride, and Nightmare in Dream Land. You can get this dangerous weapon from Walky or Mr. Tick Tock. Kirby will sing each time you use it, singing from a microphone stand similar to Walky. Kirby loves singing, but he's tone deaf and doesn't care if people like it or not. He will screech the first two times you use it and the third time, in a very un-Kirby like deep voice, he yells, "DISCO!"

Sing - B - Kirby sings. You can use it three times.

Mike.jpegMike.jpgMike.JPGMike.gif

MINI - Shrink down to tiny size so you can fit through tight passageways.
Here's a very strange ability. Mini Kirby is like the name suggests - a Mini-Kirby! When Kirby inhales Minny in Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, he shrinks in size. Kirby loses the power to slide, inhale, and float, but he can go through tight passageways to find rewards. Oh, and he can't call for his friends, either. In the anime, technically he DID turn tiny in Something to Sneeze At, but that was because of the virus. It has been proven that Mini was going to be used for Kirby's Adventure but later cancelled for Amazing Mirror.

Oops! No attacks for Mini Kirby!

image:mini.jpg

MIRROR - This mirror as odd powers! Deflect projectiles or project doubles of yourself!
Reflect enemy attacks or fool them by creating a double image of Kirby.
Mirror is the new ability for Kirby Super Star, Ultra, and the Kirby anime. The hat is like the Beam hat - only with red and blue. Note that this is similar to the boss Marx's hat, except the colors switched. Anyways, Kirby is like a mirror - he can reflect projectiles, create duplicates of himself, and more. Inhale Simirror to get this ability, and the Helper is obviously also Simirror. In Kirby: Right Back At Ya, Kirby created at least three dozen copies of himself and killed the demon beast with Mirror Cut.

Mirror Cut - B/Y - Kirby swings his stick downwards, creating a tiny mirror. You can't cut ropes.
Reflect Force - BBB/YYY - Kirby waves his weapon, emitting several small "mirrors".
Mirror Body - Dash B/Y - Kirby turns into two. If you use it in midair Kirby will split diagonally. After that attack they come back to form one Kirby. Has invincibility frames.
Reflect Guard - L/R - Kirby hides in a rainbow sphere. It can reflect projectiles and send them flying back to wherever they came from.

Mirrorsuperstar.jpg

MISSILE - Transform into a missile and fly through the sky. Watch out: you'll blow up if you hit an enemy or a wall.
Use rainbows to navigate!
Missile appears in two games: Kirby & the Amazing Mirror and Kirby Canvas Curse. Missile is exactly like a missile - you can control him with buttons or rainbow lines. Get Missile by inhaling Bang-Bang or Bombar. Oh, and another thing, Missile is hard to control and Kirby can take damage.

Launch - B/Stylus tap - Kirby turns into a missile. In Canvas Curse he won't blow up by hitting an enemy but will by hitting a wall.

image:missile.jpg

MISSILE (K-64) - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Missile is a completely different ability from Kirby 64: the Crystal Shards. It's a mix of Bomb and Bomb, and no, it doesn't make a giant bomb. Instead, Kirby fires three homing missiles that will chase after enemies. Actually, the amount depends on how long you hold B. And they won't go like Red Shell crazy in Mario Kart, they'll just move themselves occasionally. Once they hit a wall or an enemy, or Kirby, they explode.

Launch - B - Kirby fires his missiles from his mouth. Yes, I said mouth.

Image:Missile.JPG

NEEDLE - Hands off! Here: pointy spikes! There: pokey spikes!
Spike anything! Ride rainbows!
Lots of needles, just like a porcupine's, come out of Kirby! It's a great defense!
Needle is another reoccurring ability - Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby's Block Ball, Kirby's Dream Land 3, Kirby 64: the Crystal Shards, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby Air Ride, Kirby Canvas Curse, the anime, and also Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a sticker and trophy. Needle is more defensive and offensive and you can get it from Needlous, Togezo, Tick, Boten, Punc, Pichikuri, Spikey, Ghost Knight, Kacti, Changer and Captain Stitch. The properties are basically the same as Spark and Freeze - Kirby turns into a ball of spikes. In Canvas Curse and Crystal Shards, Needle could cling onto walls. When not in needle form, Kirby is shown wearing a helmet covered in spikes. This is also the same for the anime, but Kirby is given a new ability: able to throw spikes. The needles on his helmet grow again over time.

Needle - B/Stylus tap - Kirby turns into a ball of spikes. Kirby can't move while doing so, so don't spam it.

Needle.gifNeedleKirby.jpgNeedle.jpgNeedle.JPGNeedlekirby.gifNeedle.PNGNeedle.jpeg

NINJA - Hide in shadows and darkness. Use ninja skills on your mission. You're a ninja! A NINJA! Cool...
Copy the famous Japanese Ninja to hide in shadows and vanish into darkness!
Ninja is a cool ability (That word above this line is actually the Squeak Squad flavor text for Ninja, and it's not a glitch) that appears in Kirby Super Star and Ultra, Kirby Squeak Squad, and Kirby: Right Back At Ya!. Ninja is both close-range combat and melee and can also cut ropes. Ninja is also fast, but his projectiles deal small damage. On the bright side, they're good for spamming. In Squeak Squad Ninja can cling on to walls and walk on water, but in Super Star and Ultra Kirby loses the ability apart from the wall cling. For the anime, Ninja only appears in episode 22 and is added some new attacks. Get Ninja with Bio Spark! Helper is also Bio Spark.

Kunai Throw - B/Y - Kirby throws a knife forwards, but in Squeak Squad it's more like a shuriken. This has infinite range but with weak damage, so spam like there's no tomorrow.
Quad Shock - Hold B/Y - Kirby swings his knife forwards and if it collides with an enemy it will create a shockwave to deal mass damage.
Dash Attack - Dash B/Y - Kirby swings his knife forwards
Air Drop - Left B/Y near enemy - Kirby will grab the enemy and jump into the air, slamming the foe down. Similar to a Fighter Kirby move in Squeak Squad.
Ninja Kick - Down B/Y in midair - Kirby will dive down with his foot outstretched like Suplex's Pinpoint Kick or Captain Falcon's Falcon Kick.
Hide Guard - B/Y while taking damage - Kirby becomes invisible. Press B/Y again to make him appear in an explosion that deals damage.
Elemental Jutsu (Squeak Squad only) - Hold B - Kirby will build up power and slam his fist onto the ground. Only after obtaining the Copy Scroll.

Ninja.jpegNinja.jpgNinjakirby.gif

PAINT - Now's your chance to use it! A special onetime copy ability! Paint the town all of 7 colors!
Use the Paint for a spectacular, colorful surprise! A one time shot in the dark!
Paint is another one-time use ability, but dangerous all the same. Paint appears in Kirby Super Star, Ultra, and Kirby: Right Back At Ya!. You can get Paint through Heavy Lobster's orange paint blob, Chameleo Arm's paint balls, and Marx Soul's paint balls. In the anime Paint allowed Kirby to paint things that becomes real, by inhaling Paint Roller's brushes (anime only). Similar to Ado and Adeleine's powers.

Paint Out - B - Kirby will paint the entire screen, dealing damage. Against Heavy Lobster the paint will make it blind (its eye turns red) and against Chameleo Arm makes it change color. It' does minor damage to Marx Soul.

PARASOL - The sun shines on this Parasol of Mine. Where I walk, enemies balk, and I float gently down... (Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Amazing Mirror and Squeak Squad flavor texts)
Guard against falling objects! Twirl to attack or just drift. Or do a parasol throw!
Protect Kirby from enemies above! Splash, drill, or toss your enemies to the sky! A lot of possibilities with the Parasol.
Open your Parasol and take a nice walk! Do you think this might have other uses, too?
Parasol is an interesting ability. I mean, what good can an umbrella do? I'm not a big fan of Parasol but if there's a whole pack of bombs on top of you, a Parasol would be good, because it guards you from falling objects as well as foes above you. Parasol allows Kirby to drift wildly and can be used in water. It appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby's Dream Land 3, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Squeak Squad, and Kirby Super Star Ultra as well as Kirby Super Star. Parasol is also confirmed for Kirby Wii. Get Parasol with Parasol, Drifter, Parasol Waddle Dee, Parasol Waddle Doo, Bukiset, Sasuke, and Klinko, or Jumpershoot. Helper is Parasol Waddle Dee. On an interesting note, while attacking with Parasol is one of the rare times where you get to see him smile.

Parasol Swing - B/Y - Kirby swings his parasol in front of him. Hold to use as a shield by Kirby spinning the parasol repeatedly. In Squeak Squad, with the Parasol Scroll, holding down B will cause stars to emit from the parasol.
Drift - Fall - Kirby falls slower than usual, drifting wildly from side to side.
Shield - Shield - Kirby blocks projectiles from above
Tackle - Down B in midair - Kirby dives diagonally down with his Parasol below him. Use this if drifting is boring for you.
Circus Throw - Up/Down/Right near enemy - Kirby grabs the enemy, bounces it on his parasol and throws it away.
Parasol Dash - Dash B - Kirby swings forwards with the Parasol.
Tip - Anything that touches Kirby's parasol takes damage. Possible with Hammer or Sword but easiest with Parasol.

PLASMA - Tap the +Control Pad to make and store an electric charge! Plasma Shots go through walls.
Plasma is often confused with Spark, but literally they're both the same. Plasma appears in Kirby Super Star, Kirby Air Ride, Kirby Super Star Ultra, the upcoming Kirby Wii as well as Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a trophy. Kirby wears a hat similar to Fire or Ice but with crackling electricity instead. Rotate the control pad to charge up energy - similar to the electric field of Spark and the icy field of Freeze. Press the attack button to unleash a projectile to damage enemies! The stronger the charge, the more powerful the blow. Get plasma from Plasma Wisp, and Plasma Wisp only! That means you know who the Helper is... duh!

Plasma Needle - No charge B/Y - Kirby fires off a little needle. It does little damage but you can spam it. Oh, it disappears after a while so it's more close-range than melee.
Plasma Arrow - Low charge B/Y - Kirby fires off an arrow-like charge. Goes further than Plasma Needle.
Plasma Spark - Medium charge B/Y - Kirby charges off a weak Plasma Wave that doesn't go very far.
Plasma Laser - High charge B/Y - Kirby fires off a large arrow with spikes coming out of the sides. This returns in Kirby Air Ride.
Plasma Wave - Full charge B/Y - Kirby fires his Plasma Barrier (see below) that can travel very far. It will destroy enemies easily and damage bosses greatly. This can go through walls.
Plasma Barrier - Full charge - Kirby creates a field of electricity around himself, protecting him against low-health mini-bosses, projectiles and as well as normal enemies. It comes when you get full charge and leaves when you use Wave.
Plasma Spray (Air Ride only) - No charge B - Kirby fires a flurry of plasma bolts in front of him.
Plasma Zap (Air Ride only) - Slight charge B - Kirby fires off two rounds of plasma bolts in front of him.
Plasma Comets (AR only) - Medium charge - Stronger form of Plasma Arrow, with three arrows instead of one.

RAINBOW SWORD - No flavor text here...
Rainbow Sword appears as a weapon by collecting all the Rainbow Drops, and ironically (or maybe not) the game it appears in - Kirby's Dream Land 2 - is black-and-white. Anyways, Kirby uses it to destroy Dark Matter by reflecting his projectiles back to hit himself, rather like the Mirror Shield for Mirror or like fighting Drawcia and Drawcia Soul in Canvas Curse. Anyways...

Swing - B - Kirby swings the Rainbow Sword that will deflect Dark Matter's projectiles. Yes, you can hurt regular enemies with this.

image:Kirby_gains_the_Rainbow_sword.

REFRIGERATOR - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Refrigerator Kirby is a mix of Ice and Spark and is probably one of the most handy abilities of all. Kirby will conjure food that will restore your health, and when enemies touch them they take damage! The food will disappear after a while but you can use Refrigerator over and over again... Don't depend on it, though, If you stick with Refrigerator all the time you'll be missing a whole bunch of Crystal Shards and a fridge isn't exactly good against Zero Two.

Transform - B - Kirby turns into a fridge, sending out flying bits of food. Kirby is immobile during the attack so don't use this over a hole.

Image:Refrigator.JPG

SHURIKEN BOMBS - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Shuriken Bombs are a mix of Bomb and Cutter and is basically Ninja Kirby. It's known as one of the best abilities in the game and is Ninja Kirby's signature attack. As an added bonus, when the shuriken sticks onto something it'll explode, so it's like a Ninja Bomb... oh, you get my point. It will detonate in about two seconds.

Throw - B - Kirby throws the shuriken

Image:Ninja_Bombs.JPG

STAR ROD - This suddenly appeared at the Fountain of Dreams Use it in your final battle against the Nightmares!
Make the final effort! Shoot the star to defeat the final enemy!
The Star Rod is probably one of the most well-known final abilities there is. It appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland, the Kirby: Right Back At Ya! anime, as well as Melee and Brawl. The Star Rod (not to be confused with Triple Star) is the battery of the Fountain of Dreams that causes it to flow, giving nice dreams to Dream Land's citizens. The Star Rod, like the Love-Love Stick, is basically a striped red-and-white stick with a star on top. Duh. Anyways, when used, the Star Rod fires a large star as a projectile. It's the only thing that can hurt Nightmare, a reoccurring boss, and the in Melee it appears as a trophy, and in Brawl it's a weapon. The Star Rod holds 16 stars but it's worth the while. In the anime, Kirby used it to defeat Nightmare - and unlike the games, all it took was one swing to defeat him.

Rod Swing - B - Kirby swings the rod. A star comes out of the rod.
Rod Spin - B in midair - Kirby jumps with the Star Rod spinning with him. Similar to Sword Spin from Sword/Fire Sword/Ice Sword/Thunder Sword.

Starwand.JPGImage:Starrod.jpgStarroditem.jpgStarroditem2.jpg

STARSHIP (STAR CHARIOT) - The lights of the starry path cross and a Starship appears! Now stop Marx's mad plan!
Ride the Starship, made from star power, into the heart of Nova in order to stop Marx's evil plan to takeover Dream Land!
The Starship isn't really a copy ability, but anyways... it only appears in Super Star and Ultra, and unfortunately I couldn't find pictures for it apart from tiny ones... So, the Starship. It's basically when a few stars surround Kirby and turns into a starship that Kirby can drive. In Super Star, it was used to bring down Nova, but in Ultra is was also used for defeating Kabula in Revenge of the King. The Starship can fire continuously by holding down the attack button rather than to just tap it over and over again. Yes, the Starship flies. Not to be confused with UFO Kirby. There's also a Helper for the Starship, but only if you have a human player. If the second player dies, they're regenerated by pressing another button, but they're warped into a random Helper.

Move - Control Pad - The Starship won't fall unless you make it. There's no way on Earth you can make it fall off the stage even if you try.
Star Shoot - Any button apart from Move Buttons, Select, Start, L and R - Kirby launches stars. Hold the button if you would like the continue shooting. Let go to stop. A Button does not enable you to jump.

Image:StarshipiconKSSU.png StarshipiconKSS.png

POWER DRILL - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Power Drill is a mix of Needle and Stone and Kirby's arm literally becomes a drill. Kirby will be dragged along until he stops, and is mandatory if you want the Crystal Shard on Stage Four of Shiver Star. By holding B Kirby will be dragged along for a ride but if you only press once the drill will be used as a projectile.

SLEEP - DO NOT DISTURB - I need my beauty rest (Nightmare in Dreamland, Amazing Mirror, SS)
Just a lil' while longer... ...Please. Let me sleep...
Just take a little break and let Kirby sleep!
Please... ...Let me sleep... ...A little more... ...Please...
Sleep is probably the most useless ability of all, but it makes so many appearances being a dud ability! Kirby's Dream Land, Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby Super Star, Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Super Star Ultra, the anime (sort of, Kirby just fell asleep by inhaling Noddy) and Brawl as a trophy, are the games that Sleep is useless in. However, in Air Ride and Squeak Squad, Kirby can make other racers sleep and restore health (with the Sleep Scroll), respectively. You can get it through Noddy, Red Dygclops, or Wiz's Apple. Once you swallow the enemy Sleep automatically begins, taking a few seconds. In some games, if you die, you will see Kirby sleeping at the Game Over screen, Squeak Squad being an example. If you choose Continue, Kirby will be shooed off the screen and you restart the level.

Sleep.gifSleep.jpegSleepKAR.jpgImage:Sleep.pngSleep.JPGSleep Kirby Trophy.jpgSleep.jpg

SMASH - Attack with... familiar fighting moves. Press B with the control pad for different smashing attacks.
Smash, not Crash, is a mix of Fighter, Cutter/Sword, Stone and Hammer in Kirby & the Amazing Mirror. It is obtained through the boss Master Hand (and Sakurai still says that Master Hand is from the universe of Super Smash Bros.) found in one particular stage. Smash is the best of all abilities - you can cut ropes, destroy hard blocks and pound stakes to take Kirby to new areas.

Vulcan Jab - B - This is a Fighter move. Kirby jabs the enemy with blue energy.
Final Cutter - Up B - Kirby swings his Cutter/Sword up and lands. This comes partly from Cutter and partly from Sword.
Stone - Down B - Kirby turns into a stone. This comes from Stone Kirby. Duh.
Hammer - Side B - Kirby spins holding out his hammer. This will still pound stakes. From Hammer, duh.
Hammer Spin - Side B in midair - Kirby spins in the air holding out his hammer. Comes from Hammer.
Twinkle Star - B in midair - Now here's an interesting one. Kirby spins, destroying nearby enemies.

Image:SmashKirby.jpg
SNARE - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Snare is a mix of Cutter and Needle abilities, and when used, Kirby's arms turn into a snare trap with very sharp spikes protruding from it. When Kirby releases B (well, when you release B) the snare will close, dealing with enemies easily. While Kirby's still holding out the snare enemies that walk into it will die, but Kirby can't move while snaring so be cautious on where you do this - over an open hole isn't a wise choice.

Ensnare - Hold B - Kirby's arms turn into a snare. Release B to close the snare, trapping airborne enemies.

SNOWFLAKE - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Snowflake is a mix of Ice and Needle, when Kirby turns into a giant snowflake (duh) and pierces people. It;s huge, but Kirby can't move. He grows rather slowly, too. Just don't do this over an open hole, like most Kirby abilities. Anyways...

Freeze - Hold B - Kirby turns into a giant snowflake with pinched eyes. Release B to turn back to Kirby.

Image:Snowflake.JPG

SPARK - CHARGE!
Shoot sparks! Hold to hover!
BZZT! BRRRRZZZT! BRRRZZPPP! ZZZT! (Nightmare in Dreamland and Amazing Mirror)
Kirby can create fireworks-like sparks from his body! This is a great defense!
Evidently, Spark is more popular than Plasma though Plasma has a bit more moves. Spark appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby's Block Ball, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby's Dream Land 3, Kirby 64: the Crystal Shards, Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Canvas Curse, Kirby Squeak Squad and the Kirby anime. Spark is basically Plasma Barrier without charging. In some games it has attacks similar to Plasma, but unlike Plasma, Spark is more defensive than offensive. You can get Spark from Bobin, Sparky, Bukiset, Spark-i, Turbite, Plugg, Zoos, or Master Green. Spark Kirby's hat is basically like Plasma's but with needle-like plasma instead of just crackling electricity. In the anime, Kirby gets green skin~

Spark - B/Y - Kirby shoots out a force field around him - a Plasma Barrier. This blocks projectiles, but he can't move. In Crystal Shards Kirby can move but slowly so. In Squeak Squad you need to charge it, but on the pro side, you can use it like Plasma. On the con side, you need the Spark Scroll to use it.
Lightning Rod - Stylus tap - Kirby gets struck by lightning, damaging enemies. Exclusive to Kirby Canvas Curse, Lightning Rod is similar to Pikachu's down B in the Super Smash Bros. series.

Spark.jpegSpark.gifSpark.jpg

STONE - No one can hurt me! Look out below!
Pound! Pound! CRUSH! Change into so many heavy forms. When on a slope, you'll sliiiiiide.
Get petrified! Roll invincibly!
Turn into an invincible stone block and crush your foes. Roll down slopes to pulverize everyone you hit!
Transform kirby into various stone figures and smash the enemies.
Kirby's body turns into a solid rock! In this form, he cannot be hurt by enemy attacks!

Stone is another one of those reoccurring abilities, popular over the ages. It first appeared in Kirby's Adventure, followed by Kirby's Dream Land 2, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby's Block Ball, Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Land 3, Super Smash Bros., Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Canvas Curse, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Kirby Super Star Ultra, the upcoming Kirby Wii, and as well as the Kirby: Right Back At Ya! anime. Stone, like Spark, is a defensive move designed to protect yourself. While in Stone form, Kirby in invincible but cannot move unless on a hill. Stone is the super-way of guarding and when in stone form you will also fall fast. It can destroy Star Blocks if you come up to them from above, but if you land in a pit of spikes... True, you're invincible but when you turn back into Kirby you take damage. The Stone hat is the same as Ninja but with different colors. Get Stone from Rocky, Gansan, Golem, Cairn, Pompey, hack, Bukiset, Giant Rocky, Blocky, or Changer. The Helper is Rocky and in the Wii game it's Golem. Oh, in Kirby 64 you can move and same in the anime but very slowly indeed. When Kirby transforms into stone he will have several different forms: the most common ones include a pink stone, a a star block, and an eight-ton weight. The rare ones include the golden HAL logo, a golden Mario and a golden Samus. In the Super Smash Bros. series Stone acts as Kirby's down-special.

Transfrom - B - Kirby will turn into his invincible stone form. He can be a pink stone, a gold Mario, a gold Samus, a Thudd, a blue volcano, a gold HAL logo, a thwomp, a spiky ball, a fist hurtling down, a garbage block, a stone statue of Kirby, a brick, a muscular man, a Rick, a Kine, or a Coo. In Kirby 64 you can walk around - slowly - as stone but you can't jump. In Super Star and Ultra you can dash while using this move. The only way of attacking is transforming on top of a boss and land on them - but it's frustrating trying to get them to go away.

Tac planet.pngKirby-mario.pngSAS.jpgStone.JPGStone.GIFStone.jpgStone.jpegStonekirby.jpg

STONE FRIENDS (AKA STONE ANIMALS) - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Stone Friends, or sometimes known as Stone Animals, is similar to the Stone ability (this is with Cutter and Stone), apart from the fact that Kirby turns into his animal friends, or at least one of them: Rick, the hamster, Kine, the fish, Coo, the owl, Pitch, the bird, Chuchu, the cute slime-like thing, and Nago, the huge cat. Kirby will randomly turn into each one by starting out as a chuck of clay but eventually carving himself into an animal friend. Some will help Kirby in his quest to find all the Crystal Shards, while some won't help at all. Also, Kirby is invincible - again!

Transform - B - Kirby turns into an animal friend
Rick - A near wall - Kirby will climb up walls. This can help when you can't fly anymore and is essential in one particular Crystal Shard...
Coo - A repeatedly - Coo flies longer but can't go as high. This will help you go through long gaps Kirby can't fly that long for.
Kine - Kine can't do anything. He can look from side to side but can't move. This is exactly the same as regular Stone.
Pitch - A repeatedly to fly - Kirby can fly higher than normal Kirby but falls faster. Pitch can roll down slopes.
Chuchu - A - Kirby jumps higher as Chuchu but with only one jump (or puffs of air).
Nago - A - Nago will triple jump but can't go as high as Kirby.

Image:StoneCutter.png

SUPLEX - This burns with fighting spirit! Grab foes and throw 'em! Learn all 8 throws to be a champ!

Suplex, like with other abilities, is often confused with Backdrop. Suplex is found by inhaling the mini-bosses Jukid, Bugzzy, or Phan Phan. Bugzzy is, well, a bug, and is the Helper for Suplex. Suplex is basically when Kirby runs up to the enemy and grabs them, throwing them every which way possible. It is an ability that appears exclusively in Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra. Pinpoint Kick is Kirby's only form of attacking without using a grab, and your only move during boss fights apart from throwing stars. While Kirby has grabbed someone he is invincible but after a while he will automatically throw and it will lose your invincibility frames.

Dash Grab - B - Kirby dashes forwards and grabs an enemy. Press B again to have Kirby throw the enemy up. Press forward to have Kirby leap forward and smash the enemy to the ground. Press backwards to have Kirby fall backwards and smash to the ground from there. Press Up or A to have Kirby jump up and flatten the foe underneath.
Fury Stomp - BBB when grabbed - Kirby tap-dances on the enemy.
Pinpoint Kick - Down B in midair - Kirby falls with his foot outstretched. Kirby's only means of attack without grabbing.

Suplex.jpg

SWORD - I can't lose with this sword! If they zig, I cut 'em! (If they zag, I cut 'em, too!)
You wield the King of Blades! At full health, you shoot beams! Show your sword mastery!
CUT (Amazing Mirror and Squeak Squad)
The King of Weapons! Fire beams from the tip of your sword. Become a master by practicing multi-sword attacks.
Use the sword to defeat enemies! If you attack in midair, Kirby will spin and slash!
Sword Kirby is like a pink miniature form of Link, the hero from the Legend of Zelda series. Wearing the same hat - though cuter - Kirby is, well, deadly. Sword appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Super Star, Kirby nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby Air Ride, Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Squeak Squad, Kirby Super Star Ultra, the Kirby anime, as well as the Super Smash Bros. series as both a special move and a trophy. Sword Kirby is, well, a sword wielder. You can cut things with Sword and can be obtained through Sword Knight, Blade Knight, Heavy Knight, Meta Knight (at the beginning of the battle), and in the anime-only enemies: Bugzzy and Kracko. The Helper is Blade Knight but if you're playing Meta Knightmare Ultra in KSSU, Sword Knight is also an option. You can mix Sword abilities with Ice, Thunder, or Fire to create Ice Sword, Thunder Sword, and Fire Sword, but only with the Copy Scrolls. You can use Sword underwater. In the anime, Sword is notably on of the most powerful abilities along with Fighter, and like Fighter's Rising Break, Sword's most powerful move is the Sword Beam, learned by Kirby while falling asleep in the middle of the battle (see episode 3, Kirby's Duel Role or What?! A battle with Sir Meta Knight!).Sword is the fourth-most common ability along with Tornado and Ice with five appearances but if Galaxia Kirby counts (which is a more powerful form of Sword, by inhaling Meta Knight's sword) then Sword makes seven appearances, ranking second.

Sword Slash - B - Kirby slashes the enemy. In Air Ride Kirby automatically swings.
Upper Cut - BB - Kirby stabs up
Multisword Stab - BBB - Kirby attacks with really fast sword slashes
Final Cutter - Up B - Kirby jumps in the air and flips, falling with sword outstretched. Comes from Cutter.
Sword Spin - Dash B in midair - Kirby swings the sword around him. This is like Hammer Spin.
Chop & Thrust - B in midair - Kirby thrusts the enemy with his sword. This pushes him back a bit.
Sword Beam - B at full health - Kirby slashes and a miniature sword beam comes out. This is a projectile and much more powerful in the anime.
Lunging slice - Dash B - Kirby lunges with his sword outstretched. Only available in KSS and KSSU but in some other games this replaces Kirby's slide.
Down Thrust - Down B in midair - Kirby thrusts his sword down to the floor. Kirby will bounce up after hitting an enemy.

THROW - Try throwing enemies straight! Press Up or Down to change the direction!
Try throwing enemies straight!
Try throwing enemies straight! Aim up or down to change the direction!
Kirby can grab an enemy and toss it away, like a star! Use an enemy to beat others!
Throw Kirby is sort of like Suplex and Backdrop, except that Kirby throws enemies at others rather than slamming them. Kirby will inhale an enemy like normal and then will be able to throw it. You can also throw star blocks! You can have an element with this if you throw an enemy that specializes in either Fire, Ice, or Spark. You can also destroy grey blocks. This ability appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Squeak Squad and as well as the Kirby anime, exclusive in one episode of Cowardly Creature. At first, even Meta Knight doesn't know what ability it is! Quoting him, well, it's not like I know everything about him! The Throw appearance is pretty much like Fighter or Backdrop or Suplex - a blue headband. You can get Throw with Bun, Rolling Turtle, or Phan Phan (though he gives Suplex in some games like Ultra).

Inhale - B - Kirby sucks up the victim and throws them. Release the B button to throw them straight. Aim with Up or Down buttons. You can have an element with this ability with the Copy Scroll.

Throw.gifThrow.jpgKirbythrowanime.png

THUNDER BOMB - ERROR! NO FLAVOR TEXT FOR THUNDER BOMB!
Thunder Bomb is obviously the mix of Spark and Bomb, available exclusively to Kirby Squeak Squad. The bomb scroll is required but you should be able to find it. This is like the Ice Bomb - a regular bomb with electric abilities. No, there's no Fire Bomb, since Bomb is already technically the element of fire.

Hold Bomb - B - Kirby gets a bomb.
Throw Bomb - B while holding bomb - Kirby throws the bomb. Angle with the control pad
Drop Bomb - Down B " " - Kirby sets a bomb down on the ground
Straight Toss - Dash B " " - Kirby throws a bomb that flies straight forwards
Bomb Slide - Down A " " - Kirby does his leg sweeps while holding the bomb

+

THUNDER SWORD - CUT. Can't be used in water.
Thunder Sword is a mix of Spark and Sword in Kirby Squeak Squad, and yes, it does need the Sword Scroll. This is regular sword with more range and being able to send sparks over water or metallic areas. Although the flavor text says it can't be used in water, it just turns into a regular sword underwater, just like Fire and Ice sword.

Sword Slash - B - Kirby slashes with his sword
Multi-Slash - BB - Kirby swings his sword faster
Super Slash - BBB - Kirby attacks really fast
Final Cutter - Up B - Kirby jumps into the air and falls with sword in front of him.
Sword Spin - B in midair - Kirby swings his sword around him

+

TRIPLE STAR - What else needs saying? TRIPLE STAR. That's what you are. Amazing!
Triple Star is a more advanced version of the Star Rod, with three stars instead of one (duh) but the weapon is golden with a square end instead of a star. However, the box (the square) has a star engraved on it, so it really doesn't matter. It appears in Kirby Squeak Squad as a Final Weapon to defeat Dark Debula, and unlike other ability stars, if you lose it it'll bounce around forever, invincible to spikes or flames. The only way to lose it is for Kirby to inhale it and spit it back out again (which is very stupid to do) or if it falls in a hole. The Triple Star Cane (as Daroach calls it) can break through grey blocks, snow, dirt, clouds, fire blocks, stakes, ropes, grass, chains, light candles, light fuses, as well as extinguishing flames. It's very handy but unfortunately it breaks barrels and things like that too, which makes it unfortunate since you hide in barrels in level eight, and fighting Kracko with it isn't wise either - the snow just melts. On an interesting point, the Triple Star appears in Kirby Super Star Ultra (no remake, unfortunately) as a treasure item in the Great Cave Offensive. Unfortunately you can't use it for combat, but if you can use the items Gaanondorf would by the Triforce from Kirby. Zelda fans out there would know what I'm talking about (not that I know myself) and the joke credit goes to brawlinthefamily.com ...

Star Shoot - B - Kirby fires a star from his cane. You can also do this in the air.

Image:Triple_Star.png

TOP - Anime ability
Top Kirby is an exclusive Kirby: Right Back At Ya! ability created by fans along with Water, Iron, and Baton. Top is like a Tornado Yo-yo, and the top has a star design on top with another hat, with a picture of a top on it. Top Kirby is obtained from Air Rider and Kirby throws his top. Simple.

image:Top.jpg

TORNADO - Spin spin spin spin spin Spinspinspinspin Spinspinspin AAAAAUGGHH!
Kirby can now spin and bump away his foes! Hold the B button to spin into the air!
With that little "spin" joke there I'm pretty sure Kirby will get rather dizzy with Tornado. He will spin and spin and spin and spin and spin until he's wiped out his enemies - turning into a miniature tornado. With the tornado you are invincible and is very handy on Kracko but it's very hard to control. You can add a little element with the Tornado Scroll once you roll over that element such as lava while Tornado form. Tornado appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Kirby Air Ride, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Canvas Curse, Kirby Squeak Squad, the anime, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a trophy. You can get Tornado from Twister or Caller. In Kirby: Right Back At Ya! Tornado is one of Kirby's most powerful attacks. In the show, instead of turning into a mini-tornado about the size of Kirby himself, he turns into a full-fledged tornado from the earth to the sky! Tornado is the 4th most common ability, tied with Sword and Ice. But if Sword counts Galaxia... then it's only tied with Ice.

Cyclone - B/Stylus tap - Kirby turns into a tornado. If you hold B, you can float up but if you don't you just spin on the ground. With the Tornado Scroll you can achieve an element by running over it.
Whirwind Spin - Left/Right/A at full charge - Air Ride only, Kirby has a stronger spin attacks and makes a windstorm. Racers who are caught in it are shot into the air like hitting the Cheep Cheeps on Mario Kart.

Tornado.jpegTornado.gifTrTornado kirby.jpgTornado.jpgTornado.JPGTornadokirby.gif

UFO - WOW! I'm so lucky I copied a UFO! I can do four different moves. It also depends on how long you hold B!
UFO - a very rare ability. It appears in Kirby's Adventure, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, and Kirby Squeak Squad. Kirby turns into a flying saucer with four different attacks (five if you count the UFO Scroll) all depending on how long you hold B (apart from the Trajectory Orb). In some games you lose it after going through a door and Kirby's Dream Course you lose it after 10 seconds. On the bright side, however, you can move while charging and won't be a sitting duck for enemies. You can get UFO from the UFO enemy or Doc's flying saucers. Oh, you can also break gray blocks with the fully charged shot.

Beam Whip - B - Identical to Beam's B attack. Kirby whips out a short beam but can move during the attack.
Laser - Low charge B (to charge, hold B) - Kirby fires a laser. Identical to Laser's B. Can light cannon fuses.
UFO Laser - Medium charge B - A strengthened Laser. It can melt snow.
UFO Wave Cannon - Full charge B - A powerful beam as well as the strongest. Goes through walls.
Trajectory Orb - Automatic - After obtaining the UFO Scroll, Kirby will have a beam circling 360˚ around him at all times. Don't rely on it for its movement is slow.

UFO.GIFimage:UFO.jpgUfo.jpg

ULTIMATE (RIBBON'S SHARD GUN) - Kirby 64 Mix Ability (sort of)
Ultimate is a combo of Ribbon and the Crystal Gun, the weapon that you use to take on Zero Two (not to be confused with Zero). Ultimate is made up of 72 Crystal Shards you find throughout the game, and if you don't find them, you don't battle Zero Two and Ripple Star is forever doomed. Anyways, Kirby will set on Ribbon's back so he can hold the gun and shoot Zero Two.

Move - Left and right - Ribbon moves.
Crystal Shot - B - Kirby launches a shard that damages Zero Two.

File:Zero two Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards.png

VOLCANO - Kirby 64 Mix Ability
Volcano is a mix of Burning and Stone, when Kirby's head (the top, since he doesn't really have a body) literally turns into a volcano that shoots small lava stones at enemies. This ability works underwater as well, but the stones don't go as far. Oh, you can tilt Kirby's head, too, to hit stubborn enemies that refuse to be killed, but Kirby is still vulnerable to either projectiles or daring enemies that come close to Kirby. This is a rather handy ability but don't overuse it - it will eventually lead to your doom...

Eruption (the attack, not Ike's signature move in Brawl) - Hold B - Kirby turns into a volcano. Press Left or Right to steer him.

WATER - Kirby Anime only
Water Kirby is exclusive to the anime only (gasp... if there's fire, shouldn't there be water?) and is created by fans along with Top, Iron, and Baton. The four appear in episode 97 of the TV show that shows Kirby getting the Water Ability from a Water enemy. In the appearance, Kirby literally turns into water with a surf-like thing on his head, and he shoots water at enemies.

image:water.jpg

WHEEL - I ride like the wind! Fast! Too fast! (Nightmare in Dreamland and Amazing Mirror)
Roll to be nearly invincible or ride a Wheel Helper! Beware thorns and holes.
I ride like the wind.
FAST! TOO FAST! (Extra bold)
Use lines to turn sharply! (Canvas Curse, for you confused souls)
Roll over your enemies! Call a helper and ride the wheel. Watch out for thorns and don't speed!
Kirby turns into a wheel and can move at super speed! But watch for obstacles and excess speed!
Wheel is another reoccurring ability for Kirby - Kirby's Adventure, Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Course, Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land, Kirby Air Ride, Kirby & the Amazing Mirror, Kirby Canvas Curse, Kirby Squeak Squad, Kirby Super Star Ultra, the Kirby Wii as well as the anime. You can get Wheel from Wheelie, the Yellow Golem, Paint Roller's car, Wiz's Car, or the Grand Wheelie; the Helper is Wheelie Bike. Wheel turns Kirby into a wheel that's fast enough to run through lava on on water. If Kirby goes onto lava he becomes Fire Kirby until he changes back to Kirby form. Wheel is faster than Kirby dashing but has a knack of falling into holes. However, if you want to get past a level fast, Wheel is your guy. You can even ride on your Wheelie Helper! Oh, Ice Wheel can freeze water but Wheel can't jump in some games and is hard to control. In the anime Wheel Kirby appears in episode 36, The Kirby Derby Part II,where Kirby takes on the Wheel form to beat King Dedede in a race. Unlike the games, Jet is faster than Wheel and Wheel Kirby gets tired. After making five laps and on his final lap, Kirby stops a mere foot away from the finish line, allowing Mayor Len and wife Hana to win by a second.

Wheel Roll - B/A/Stylus tap - Kirby turns into a wheel and rolls forwards. If he hits a wall or spike he crashes. Has invincibility frames. Can have an element when rolled over but needs the Wheel Scroll to do so.
Wheel Turn Jump - B Right repeatedly - Kirby jumps while rolling but loses his invincibility frames.
Brake - B while moving - Kirby turns back to Kirby.
Slow down - Hold A while moving - Kirby slows down but loses his invincibility frames.

WING - Midair spins and shuttle loops! Spread your wings and fly, little Kirby! Doesn't that feel good?
Amaze your friends! Toss your enemies into the air and throw them for the Shuttle Loop.
Wing is when Kirby sprouts wings that are like Meta Knight's. It's easier to control but you need to press A continuously to hover. So far it has appeared in Kirby Super Star, Kirby Super Star Ultra, the Kirby Wii, Kirby Air Ride, the Kirby: Right Back At Ya! anime and Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a trophy. Wing is an ability in Gourmet Race course three and is also the most favorable one. You can get Wing from Birdon or Flappy and the Helper is Birdon but in the Wii game it's Flappy.

Feather Gun - B/Y - Kirby shoots out feathers from under his wing. Close-range.
Condor Head - Dash B/Y - Kirby dashes forward, headbutting enemies.
Bomber Head - Down B/Y in midair - Kirby dives down. It's a vertical Condor Head but when Kirby lands he deals out shock waves to grounded enemies.
Condor Dive - Dash Down B/Y in midair - A Bomber Head going diagonally down instead.
Toss - Up/Down/Forward B/Y near enemy - Kirby tosses the enemy
Shuttle Loop - B/Y after Toss - Kirby loops around the enemy, hitting enemies along the way. Meta Knight uses this attack in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Flutter - A repeatedly - Kirby flies. His wings can deal damage to enemies while flapping and can break star blocks.
Gust Roll - Right and Left - Kirby barrel rolls, and is only available in Kirby Air Ride.

YOYO - This isn't just any yo-yo! Swing up and down, or break spin! Try 'em all to look cool!
Use the awesome Yo-Yo to defeat your enemies in style!
Yo-yo is another strange ability Kirby can get in Kirby Super Star & Ultra. Like the Wheel cap, Kirby wears a purple/blue cap backwards. Yo-yo is a reference to Ness in the EarthBound series (both EarthBound and Kirby made by HAL) who also wears a backwards cap and uses a yo-yo as a weapon. Just as well, Break Spin, one of Yo-yo's moves, is Kirby's dash attack in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. And about the ability itself... Kirby uses his yo-yo as a weapon. Simple. The yo-yo is red with a yellow center and a white star in the yellow circle. And no, Kirby just holds the yo-yo string, since he doesn't have any fingers. He does have a hand, though... ack! Forget it! Get Yo-yo from Gim and Gim only. If you ask who the Helper is, please tell me you're kidding.

Yo-yo Throw - B - Kirby throws his yo-yo into a gentle loops in front of him. You can press up or down to make it go up or down.
Break Spin - Dash B - Kirby spins on his head with his feet sticking out. Has invincibility frames.
Hammer Drop - Forward/Up/Down B near enemy - No, it's not a hammer move. Kirby grabs his victim and drops them. Usually kills in one hit. Regular enemies only or defeated mini-bosses.
Gazer Spiral - Down Up B (press up and B at the same time) - Kirby spins in the air. Two stars that spin with him will go in opposite directions at the peak of his spin, and can damage both Twin Woods is used right in the center.
